Tamarea, or as some like to call her “Tenacious T”, is a model in every sense of the word. She was born in Newark, New Jersey but grew up in the dirty south; Durham, North Carolina is the place she calls “home”. Tamarea’s natural desire to understand others led her to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish from UNC Charlotte. She also became a certified translator, an interpreter, a model, wife, and mother during her time in the Queen City. Her many passions include promoting mental health awareness in the black community, advocating for women’s rights, and immigrant rights. The year she graduated, Tamarea was featured in the HuffPost as one of “24 Inspiring College Grads Who Exemplify Black Excellence”, a title she was proud to add to her resume. She has been internationally published, and has had the pleasure of walking on runways from coast to coast, but the roller coaster that is her life has certainly not been a smooth ride. Tamarea has joined the Fruit of May team to share her experiences and lessons learned while embarking on her journey. She hopes to continue to advocate for people worldwide with dreams that may mirror her own; to obtain holistic wealth, break generational curses, and to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
